State-of-the-Art Infrastructure
Besides its extensive docking facilities, in the last years Hellenic
Shipyards has undertaken an extensive investment program that has
enormously improved productivity and quality of work. Following its
privatization in 2002 these efforts were intensified while
additional investments in infrastructure and equipment are planned
for the years ahead.
Because of Greece’s mild year-round climate, HSY provides ideal
conditions for hull treatment and tank-coating works by all kinds of
blasting or hydroblasting procedures.
Exhibiting a special sensitivity towards environmental issues, HSY
is compliant with the laws and regulations for the treatment of
wastes from ships and is already in the process of implementing the
first integrated waste management for shipyards in Greece.
